Se extender\u00e1 desde el oeste, Puerto del Callao, hacia el este de la metr\u00f3poli, paralelo al r\u00edo Rimac, cruzando un total de 27 estaciones a lo largo de 27 km de v\u00edas. Totalmente subterr\u00e1neo, m\u00e1s un ramal subterr\u00e1neo de 8km para el aeropuerto que formar\u00e1 el primer tramo de la l\u00ednea 4.
